North East Guided Tours

GG Scott screen.jpg

I’m a journeyman. And life has been great with a very interesting mix. I’ve travelled the world and cycled overland to Cape Town, been a VSO teacher in Guyana, ran a community garden in inner Newcastle and been a Council funding officer, project manager. I have been a sports and therapeutic masseur and in the pandemic I went to work for Morrisons delivering supplies to those who were isolating.

In 2019 I begun training as a Blue Badge guide for the North East of England and in August 2021 became a member of two distinguished clubs – the Institute of Tourist Guiding and the British Guild of Tourist Guides. I am now qualified to guide throughout the whole of the North East of England and look forward to show you this marvellous region.

I am available to guide :
City and town walking tours (Durham, Newcastle, Seaham, Barnard Castle, Sunderland)
Durham Cathedral
Hancock Museum
Coach tours with commentary (Durham Dales, Newcastle, Teesside, Northumbria coast, Hadrian’s Wall)
Bespoke tours (gardens, countryside, landscape, history, eco-buldings, architecture)

I have lived in Durham for nearly 30 years and with my partner have two grown up daughters.
